I’m a big fan of the branding of the non-brand (think Muji), and so lately, I’ve been peeling away the excessive labelling on some of the products I’ve been using to enjoy them in the beauty of their…nudity? /read more

Having fun with illustrator, and making sure my blog knows I’m still alive, here’s a little vector I threw together. Those of you who’ve flown into YVR (or have an obsession with Google Maps) will recognize this little lump of island nestled between Vancouver and Richmond: Sea Island!
Work chairs to complement our long white tables atop thin, elegant trestle legs are hard to come by; you can’t just plant your typical heavy black office chair and hope it’ll fit. Scouring the the city’s thrift shops uncovered a pair of beauties!

I am definitely looking forward to late-September to pick one up (and one for Shirley, too) and go on a sketching rampage.
not very many people have seen this little project yet, but the team of tae and i have been working hard to produce our class of 2011 graduation rings and packaging. this is the first project from our newly formed MAISON DE SYNECDOQUE collective, and you’ll be seeing more from us.
